My 2015 Commitments: December Check-In

My 2015 Commitments: December Check-In

A new month begins, and it is time to go through my 2015 December Check-in with you and assess my progress. It’s all about accountability.

Raise your hand if you also think that 2015 passed really fast!

It was an intense year to say the least. With that said, I don’t mean it was anything bad. On the other way around! All the experiences I went through allowed me to have more clarity about what I wanted for myself. They set me in motion.

There have been many changes, and more will come.

My newsletters subscribers already know about it. I’ll be sharing more exclusive content (including discounts) with them. As from this week, I’ll be posting a new blog only on Mondays. By the end of the week, I’ll be sending a brand-new newsletter issue. In other words, if you haven’t signed up yet, now is the time!

And the other great news is that you don’t have to miss me for so long. I’m now doing daily Periscope broadcasts on weekdays. On each one of them, I share a Holistic Health tip that will help you Be Healthy and Live Fully in the next year and beyond.

The best part about Periscope is that you can talk to me live. We can have a conversation, and I can answer your question(s) on the spot.

If this button turns red while you are reading this post, it means I’m live. Then, please click on it to be directed to Periscope.

Note that you have to use the mobile app to be able to interact with me. On the desktop, you can only watch broadcasts.

If you miss the 24-hour window of Periscope, just stop by Katch.me. All my broadcasts are there, waiting for you.

The reason why I decided to change my post frequency is to focus on informative posts. I’ll be leaving topics such as progress and accountability, for example, to the newsletter.

In short:

  • on the blog, you’ll be getting the basics to get your Holistic Health started
  • on the newsletter, I’ll be taking you by the hand to help you out with your first steps for a Better You.

Well, enough talk. Let’s have a look at my progress in the past month.

Invest in my health

Before writing this blog, I decided to have a look at my post on the commitments itself. I must say I was truly surprised with what I found there:

By health, I mean not only my physical health but my mental and spiritual health as well. We live in a rush with always so much to do, people putting (unnecessary) pressure on us, expectations from ourselves and others… At a certain point we stop living and simply survive. I want to keep the negative in check so that I do not fall for their traps either.”

Believe it or not, I had already forgotten about these words. I always check the previous month, but I never go back to the original.

It served to remind me how serious I’ve been about living a Holistic lifestyle. And it has been so since long before deciding to study it. Very reassuring.

In terms of my progress, I’ve been pretty excited about tracking my stats. Since my boyfriend got us the Withings scale it became so much easier. Besides, it has been such an eye opener I decided to get myself one of their watches as well.

The most incredible aspect of Pulse is being able to follow my sleep pattern. After a not-so-good week, I’ve been getting on track, looking forward becoming consistent.

Because planning is so important to me, getting an idea of my stats now helps me put together the ideal strategy.

Keep on organizing

This one has been progressing with ups and downs.

I’m trying not to let it get to me though because I know it won’t help. I’m still much better than before in terms of maintenance. However, I have been so busy the past weeks, I haven’t been able to stretch my progress.

With December coming, I know it’ll only get even busier, but I’ll get there.

Learn more and more

I keep on immersing  myself into Maya’s courses. Part of me wishes I had learned from her before, but maybe I’d not be ready for her knowledge then.

I also got my certification as a Holistic Life Coach which means that the journey has just started. Each client is a brand-new experience and keeping myself updated is imperative to provide the best support.

Another thing I learned how to do recently is putting together my own life planner stickers. I collected some images from Pinterest and here’s the result.

You can download it here. Even if you aren’t into planners, you can use them to decorate your Holiday gifts and cards, as well.
