Review & Giveaway: Dual Shaker

Review & Giveaway: Dual Shaker

I am an advocate of sports and an physical activity that can improve the life quality of a person. Whether it is running, strength training, martial arts, crossfit; you name it. And I also believe that a healthy life style includes balanced and varied meals.

Sometimes, because of convenience or lack of time, I add supplementation to my regular intake to make sure I get all the ingredients I need to perform well not only at the gym, but during my daily responsibilities too. Therefore, I add protein shakes to my post-workout and fast snacks.

These days, one can find shakers in all sizes and forms, but one caught my attention and I am really glad for being granted the honor to review: the Dual Shaker.

Review : Dual Shaker

Before starting with my review, let me share a little but about it with you…

Dual Shaker is a 2-chamber fitness bottle topped with a leak-free that storages your ingredients until you want to use them. It is BPA and it is dishwasher, fridge and microwave safe. It is developed in the USA, using German-engineered technology in 5 different colors.

But what got me interested in it when I already have a whole collection of fitness bottles at home?

Dual Shaker got my attention when they posted a picture of a bottle in the car holder. I loved the idea! How many of you have already struggled with that? I have tried everything I could think of without success. Once I even had to deal with spoiled shake on my car’s carpet (=not cool). Just the fact that I could have my drinks safe on the go was already worth trying.

My Dual Shaker on the go.

Maybe it is only me, but whenever I used shaker that contain a separate compartment for the storing of the mix (whether protein, BCAAs, etc), I always spilled up to 10% of the content on the floor. It was really annoying and caused me to hear some jokes about the ‘stuff’ I was mixing. It seemed to be a good idea, but when put into practice, the results were not that optimal.

With Dual Shaker one does not have this problem. Both liquid and mix are already inside the bottle. All you have to do is twist the lid half way and they will mix, like for real. No residues left. And to drink, you can transfer the mix to one side of the contender (it is that easy, believe me) or drink from the side. No leakage, waste or dirt anywhere.

At home, you can also use it to prepare salad dressings, marinades or omelets, for instance.  You can also use it to make infant formula and a delicious iced coffee.

Its lid contains a handy pill box that you can use for your supplementation, or like me, for some small seeds (hemp or sunflower), cacao nibs or salt (low pressure me).

The one watch-out I found so far with the usage of Dual Shaker is that drying the compartments, mainly the one used for the powder, is key. It happened only once with me that I was little less careful and the protein powder got a little stuck. I solved the problem by shaking it a little heavier and for longer than norma, but it is better to avoid it.

Also, make sure that the lid is completely close when carrying it. It will not leak if it only half-way, but it will allow that the contents are mixed. The easiest option to close it is by gently pressing it down and then twisting it. You cannot miss it this way.

I take my Dual Shaker everywhere with me. It makes my life easy and keeps things clean. I have both my vitamins and supplement at the hand all the time. It is great at the gym, but for the afternoon snack as well (mainly during long meetings when one cannot take a break).
