It is already the third month of the year and the time has come to share my progress on my commitments for 2015.
I have to say that February was not an easy month for me. I would be lying if I said that everything went well. Challenges however are placed in our path to make us stronger. We cannot allow ourselves to dwell in them. It is up to us to face our personal obstacles with faith and overcome them, whatever they might be.
So here is my retrospective of February 2015.Hello March!
Invest in my health
This remains my most important topic of all. With my surgery coming closer, I really want to get stronger physically so that I can increase my chances of recovering fast. Headaches, migraines, dizziness and tiredness have increased significantly in February and my life quality, decreased. More than ever, it is imperative that I do not neglect my well-being for the sake of my general health.
Thanks to CrossFit my body is getting stronger and stronger every day. I am already able to do things that I could not even dream about some months ago. I renewed my enrollment for another month at CrossFit Aalst and I am looking forward giving it all the next weeks.
With things settling down somehow, I will also be finally able to focus 100% on the awesome nutrition plan I got from Alex Pauwels. I want and I will be the fittest I can be by April 3rd.
Keep on organizing
This was weakest link in February. I did not manage to make any progress on this level and had even a hard time keeping the changes that I had already implemented. It is true that I was extremely busy and that my body was not helping much, but still I have the feeling that I could have done better anyways.
No time to feel sorry for myself though. It might represent a delay, but in no way it means that the year is lost and that I cannot reach the goals I set for 2015. It is simply time to catch up and get things done! 😉
Learn more and more
Unfortunately I did not achieve the hoped success in my practical exam yesterday and I am being forced to delay the dream of becoming a NASM Certified Personal Trainer for at least six months. This does not mean that I am going to quit my studies or stop improving for the matter. Our body is so complex and there is so much to be learned about its mechanics and processes that even if I had passed, it would only be the beginning.
In some weeks, I will have a very special client waiting for my services: myself. Working on my own revalidation from the point of a Personal Trainer is something I am looking forward to and that I will be dedicating myself entirely to. There is no room for self pity, just a lot of hard work.My 2015 Commitments: March Check-in
Accountability is very important when working on resolutions. If one does not create the habit of keeping track of their progress, they might easily lose sight of their goals. Make sure you keep your eyes on the results and make any necessary adjustments to achieve them.
